A massive thank you to our amazing supporters and donators who as always came up trump last week for the animals who rely on us to be there when they need us most.

An incredible 223 donators generously donated towards our appeal and many more shared  the link to help. Thanks to your efforts £3,619 was raised!!

Because of your generosity and kindness everything is being made ready and organised for the team to go over to Croatia the 2nd week of August to:

  • Work alongside the staff and volunteers in the death row shelter to try and help/save as many as possible.
  • To collect owned pets (whose owners are poverty stricken and can not get to the clinic) to fund there sterilisation and take them back to there homes
  • To help fix and buy material for a small shelter to enable it to take in rescued animals, young and vulnerable from death row to save even more lives.
  • To distribute aid and buy food for the starving strays
YOU enabled us to do this. Thank you so very much. xx
We will be keeping everyone up to date whilst we are over there with daily blogs, posts , videos and photos so you can see for yourself exactly what enable AAFA to do.

This was the appeal: (link to appeal http://www.youcaring.com/action-aid-for-animals-383711)

Action Aid for Animals has helped save the lives of thousands of animals over the years, both rescuing, transporting to safety, collecting and distributing aid to the strays. Our ambulance is the life blood of everything we do, as well as being the main generator of funds desperately needed to carry out our important work.

This week disaster has struck, Francis went into the garage to be checked over as we were hearing a whining noise coming from under the vehicle and it has been found that it would cost us more money to fix her than it did to buy her.  Without our ambulance our charity is pretty much dead in the water, we can not even describe what affects this will have on the hundreds of animals right now depending on.

With only a month to go until the team are due over in Croatia to help with rescuing, initiating our sterilisation projects and of course bringing lucky dogs from death row home to their new families we are totally and utterly stuck without a vehicle to do this with.

We choose ambulances rather than vans because they automatically have air con/heaters are bright and airy plus as ex authority vehicles they have been kept up to spec.

This fundraiser is to buy another ambulance, customise it to the needs of the animals we will be saving and transporting plus pay for the official inspection certificate that will allow us to transport rescue dogs to safety.

Please help us, every single thing we do, be it rescuing, transporting, raising funds relies upon us being on the road. This situation could not be more urgent and could not have happened at the worse time for us.

Thank you so much for your support, we really can not do this without you.
