On the 19th August wonderful volunteers and supporters of AAFA traveled to Croatia to ,meet with some of the amazing rescuers and veterinarians that we work so closely with. Whilst they were there they visited the dislocated a shelter , though badly run down and a far cry from what we are use to in the UK this place is a sanctuary for so many abused and abandoned strays.
Here they receive basic care, love and a meal in there bellies. AAFA are finalising plans to help rebuild this shelter and organise/fund for kennels to be built to keep the rescued animals within safe from those outside who would do them harm
Also during their visit Claire and Bryan also visited the death row shelter and though was an emotional roller coaster for them both it allowed them to experience and to see why our charity worls so very hard to help save these lovely dogs in any way that we can.
At both shelters we send over aid, medical treatment , dog beds and anything else we are able to collect or to buy for them.
We can not thank these two wonderful volunteers for driving all the way there with an entire ambulance full of life saving aid and treatments but for also helping 22 rescued animals escape death row etc and come to there new homes and foster homes in the UK.
