Who knows how long he wandered until he accidentally saw was a lady who was that way by accident prolazila.Tražio apartment, asked who would help in her treatment. And when everything is organized, Siddhartha had disappeared.
The shock of looks
They were looking for days, and when they found her tears of joy were replaced by shock that arose due to her condition.
- She was hungry and thirsty, almost no hair, she looked like a walking skeleton. It was amazing that he was even alive - says Vesna Marošinac, DVM. honey., owner of the ambulance Anubis club whose dispensary Siddhartha transported for treatment. The dog was immediately given vitamins and antibiotics, and to view it and they had to sedate ..
- All we could not help us volunteers England Association Action Aid for Animals . When he recovers, he is waiting for a new home in England , and Mrs. Helen fell in love with her after she watched over Skype - V. Marošinac points out , adding that Mrs. Helena already housed a dog from Romania and one dog from Beli Manastir . For Siddhartha still do not know which breed them a little reminiscent of the Irish Wolfhound , but neglected Šarplaninci . When her hair grows , they will know more , but now they know they will be housed no matter what .

This will rid the place of another dog that will need help . Unfortunately , in Slavonia them lately more . In the clinic the day after Siddhartha arrived and German Shepherd which are spawning on the street . There is an urgent surgery and is recovering well . JUSTICE FOR DISABLED DOG LINDA, Scott Parlett kills disabled dog and then turns to her owner an animal rescuer and tells her " Now maybe this will teach you a lesson!"
Imprisoned for 3 years living in her own feces - Rescued - brought to the UK to what should have been a wonderful future, mercilessly killed by Wherry Veterinary Group to teach a rescuer/adopter a lesson!!!
This is Linda, a sweet wonderful little dog who had endured 3 years of hell, imprisoned in an apartment in Romania with an abusive owner. She could not run, she could not escape her living hell because her spine had been broken 3 years previously.
This is Linda, a sweet wonderful little dog who had endured 3 years of hell, imprisoned in an apartment in Romania with an abusive owner. She could not run, she could not escape her living hell because her spine had been broken 3 years previously.
A wonderful rescue called Pet Hope came to her aid and rescued her with the collaboration of a wonderful UK based non profit org called Angel Watch Rescue they did all they possibly could to help this wonderful young dog.
Nothing was too much for this sweet girl, she had scans, surgery, you name it this group gave it to her. Fundraising hard to get the money to give this little dog the future that until now she had deliberately been deprived of. She, for the first time in 3 years was able to run around and play with her new dog friends by way of her super dog cart the group paid for her to have.
The one thing this little dog did not have was a forever home, but one day a wonderful woman from the UK saw Linda's plight and offered her a forever home. A dog who once had nothing, only knew abuse and cruelty now had a future. Everything was planned, Linda made ready for travel and a few days ago she was put on a transport and brought to the UK ready to embrace the new life that lay ahead of her, at least that would have been the case if Wherry Veterinary group had not got their hands on her
By DEFRA law a rescue dog MUST stay at the destination address for 48 hours and be checked by DEFRA vets. This was done, so 2 days had past since Linda entered the UK. Being a responsible owner, Lindas new mum took her to the above vets immediately for a check up and also to get some pain relief and antibiotics for the infected sinuses that Linda had gained whilst on the transport travelling for 2 days..
This is quite common in disabled dogs and the condition most certainly can be treated easily enough as it has been treated many times before on various occasions with other dogs. Infected Sinuses is NOT a life threatening condition in cases like Linda's.. Scott Parlett of Wherry Veterinary group told Linda's owner he was going to take her in the back of the clinic and would be treating her, for Linda's new mum to come back later for her. Of course Linda's mum wanted the best for her new dog and so of course left Linda with Scott Parlett and would come back later to collect her and take her home, this seemed perfectly fine as Linda's mum had another dog Arthur who needed to see the vets in anycase so made perfect sense.
However Dr Parlett had another reason for wanting to take Linda from her mum and keep her at the clinic. Linda's mum had not returned home for long before receiving a call from Scott Parlett telling her he was going to euthanise Linda.
Linda's mum DID NOT give her permission and though Dr Parlett stated he was going to get the RSPCA involved neither the RSPCA, nor Linda's Mum nor the rescue who saved Linda gave their permission for this to be done.
Lindas mum went straight back to the clinic with her dog Arthur to speak to the vet and get Linda back, to try and talk sense into this vet who was determined it seemed to end Lindas life. Now this is the sneaky vile underhanded thing that this veterinary clinic did. When Linda's mum waited in the reception with Arthur her other dog and ready to collect Linda, Dr Parlett realising that she would take Linda, as legally she is entitled to, he stopped what he was doing and went specifically to the back of the clinic and killed Linda...Knowing that her mum was outside to take her to safety away from this veterinary clinic. . Yes , SCOTT PARLETT OF WHERRY VETS DETERMINED TO KILL THIS POOR DOG, STOPPED WHAT HE WAS DOING TO ENSURE THAT HE WOULD INJECT LINDA AND KILL HER BEFORE HER LOVING HUMAN MOTHER HAD THE CHANCE AS WAS HER LEGAL RIGHT TO TAKE THAT DOG HOME AND SEEK AN ALTERNATIVE VETS ADVISE AND TREATMENT.
What this vet did was despicable, immoral and utterly hideous. As well as Saving hope rescue, Action Aid for Animals called the veterinary group telling them to NOT euthanise Linda. To explain why she had pressure sores.
Wherry Veterinary group were in a position of trust by Lindas mum, they were meant to help this dog, be part of the healing process, to welcome her to a new wonderful life. Instead their vet Dr Peter Scotts biased and unethical actions deliberately snatched away the only chance that sweet dog would ever have. Action Aid for Animals, Saving Hope rescue and many others call upon the Royal Veterinary College to investigate this excuse of a vet. To make him liable single handedly for destroying what would have been the only happiness and love that dog would have received in her short life.
By Dr Parlett actions it is clear he believes animals with disabilities or from foreign shores should be euthanised, that he deems them not to have a quality of life. Thousands of disabled dogs across the world and their owners most certainly will stand testimony that this is not the case.
Linda deserves justice, her family deserve justice. The British Veterinary Association nor the public must allow this type of unethical and immoral treatment to happen to any animal. It is too late for Linda, Dr Scott Parlett made sure of that, but it is not too late to get justice for this sweet dog who had the right to life, had the right to a future, had the right to be given the chance of a wonderful life that Scott Parlett cruelly took from her.

AAFA stopped the brutal slaughter of 45 dogs in an infamous killing station in Romania - Now they need your help to get them to safety
URGENT APPEAL
(See update at end of appeal)
Now we need your help.....
AAFA can organise the transport , get them to safety in the UK, do all the ground work but we need the pennies to help us do this.
To get all 44 dogs vaccinated, ready for travel, sterilised and the bare basic transport costs are going to be approx £4,200 we simply cannot do this alone. We have the network, the ability to help but we just do not have the coffers in the bank to do this, not for 44 dogs.
AAFA will take on at least 10 dogs and be RBU, other UK groups will also be taking on the remaining 34, between us somehow we will rehome find foster for all 44.
We know times are tough, we know they are, but for these dogs right now times really could not be tougher...

UPDATE
The last few days we have learnt of the horror that has happened in Bragadiru shelter where our 46 (yes we added an extra one) are being held and to be honest even with reassurances from the shelter staff we could not be 100% the butchers had not touched our reserved dogs...Even though we had conformed to all their demands etc nothing is certain in Romania public shelters.
So, it is with a HUGE smile on my face and a breath of relief I can confirm......... ALL our 46 are safe and in just 2 days time those poor souls who would be wondering if they were next on the butchers blocks, there kennel doors will be swung open and instead of being dragged, kicked and punched to their deaths, they will be picked up and carried to the transport that is now being arranged to take them to the pension in Timiosara. The hard work is not over yet by a log shot, but.... I have to say thank you on behalf of the Bragadiru 46, THANK YOU ALL for everything you have done and donated. Yes we still need funds, Yes we still need fosters and adopters to step forward but for now, we can all sit back and take a breath. Our dogs are safe and this Friday they will all be on their way to freedom. The first step in their new lives....and its all thanks to team work and people who did step forward and help rather than turning away. xxxxx Will be getting photos of the BIg day on Friday, in the meantime I have a few things i need to do then will update total received. Then.....We have to concentrate on the next steps...But for now...we can all breath knowing we have overcome the biggest obstacle...keeping them alive and safe to get to step 2.

The Big Duck affair
Yesterday as many of you will be aware there was a huge collaboration between rescues, charities and the public to help save over 2,000 ducks from Norton Field farm in Essex who had been forced into a situation where they either allow the company Cherry Valley to take back the ducks and they would slaughter them for meat or to give them away to people who rehome them.
I think in such situations especially with many of us in animal welfare and against the eating of animals it is easy to believe the worst of the duck farmers and maybe not see the whole situation and possiibly place blame where it should not be, or maybe not fairly on all shoulders involved that led to these ducks being rehomed.
............................................................................................................
The farm have sent us today a full explanation of what led up to yesterdays rehoming/rescue, this is as follows:
TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR OUR DUCKS WELFARE
It is with great regret that today we have to make the hard decision to de-populate our flock of CHERRY VALLEY DUCKS.
We moved from free-range hen egg production in June 2013 to what we hoped would be a more profitable enterprise, duck egg production.
We actually have more customers than we have egg.
So one would think it was the right move?
However we have been badly let down by Cherry Valley, based in Market Rasen.
We ordered our day old female ducks and took delivery in early June 2013, rearing them and looking after them until they came in to lay in mid November.
In early New Year we noticed a few issues, we had some drakes in the flock. While not totally unusual, over the coming weeks and months as the ducks became more mature we thought we had a few hundred.
This was pointed out to Cherry Valley who insisted to our feed supplier that we only had “ a 100% female flock”
Cherry Valley has stated on many occasions that 1% plus is normal.
In our case, 420-450 in a flock of 4000,11% plus.
That is not normal!
As we had our setup arranged for egg production it has caused a larger than expected mortality, by the drakes, over mating females and killing them.
This is not what we expected!
The costs of keeping and feeding the male population has led us into a very heavy loss making exercise and more mortality in the females.
As pointed out by Cherry Valley today in it’s terms and conditions and invoice and covering email, the order email states “Please find attached proforma invoice for the 4000 female dayolds for collection on Tuesday 4th June”
Our business plan and model to expand has been destroyed.
Cherry Valley has already admitted in emails that we had “11% drakes” and mistakes were made at the hatchery.
While Cherry Valley did remove some drakes at our request they have not kept their promises of correcting the mistake and compensating us for our losses.
We can no longer get feed deliveries from our supplier as cash flow does not permit and our credit limit is exceeded.
Cherry Valley has made false promises to address the situation.
Today I am asking the RSPCA and Freedom Food for help to remove the flock, as we cannot afford to keep them and feed has run out.
Cherry Valley have given the impression both directly to us and through their solicitor that it would be addressing the matter with urgency, but urgency for them as communicated by their solicitor is in the coming week or so.
The welfare of the birds is paramount and they cannot wait that long. In my opinion Cherry Valley should be helping us out of this situation that their mistakes created.
Not only has this created major welfare issues, our staff will be made redundant, both full-time and part-time.
It was planned over the next 2-3 years to expand the operation up to 30-40 thousand ducks and also egg processing on site, creating between 20-30 full and part-time jobs.
This cannot happen because of the problems we are facing.
I would like to thank both customers and staff for their support over the last 12 months.
..................................................................................................
So, it would appear that the Essex farm was infact given by their distributor an excess amount of males that infact inturn meant the death of many females. No refund was given by Cherry Valley to the farmer regardless that they had to stump the cost to feed and care for the drakes as well as the female ducks.
From a welfare point of view, AAFA are not really interested in the financial aspect of all this but we are VERY MUCH interested in the needless killing of female ducks because the percentage of males to females meant that the females were literally being raped by many ducks and the consequences of this led to many being dying from internal damage as well as te rough treatment of these females by the drakes during the raping of them.
Whether you agree or do not agree with the use of animals/birds to make profit, Action Aid are questioning the responsibility of the the distributor in this matter. Surely they have duty of care, a responsibility to ensure that the female to male ratio is not in excess as appears to be in this case.
Surely Cherry Valley rather than using killing the Drakes as an answer is NOT the answer. What of the farmer in this matter, from what we have been told the ducks were given top priority be it in their general welfare, housing conditions and so on. Yet here is the farmer left with a huge food bill and having to deal with the lifeless bodies of females torn to shreds by the drakes because the male to female ration was in excess that normal.
The farm itself was offered by Cherry Valley who appears to be at the root of all this, for them to clear the ducks left and send them to slaughter. The Name Cherry Valley certainly conjurs up a wholesome image, it appears to be the opposite is true if there answer to solving a mess they caused, the life of ducks wasted that they caused is to offer to take the ducks they supplied and charged the farmer for , to take the ducks and slaughter them!!!!
Business is a murky world at best, but is even worse when animals/birds lives are being affected/put at risk because of mistakes the humans involved have made.
....................................................................................................
Yesterday we were told that the farm was giving away ducks to people/individuals who came to claim a free duck not to care for and rehome but to eat. However it has been confirmed that a number of vans turned up from restaurants to claim as many ducks as they could to serve in to their customers. These persons were infact turned away.
After speaking with the farm today it was confirmed that there are only a few ducks left, and these are very much pets to the farmer and would be kept by them the farm as pets.
We are sure that we are all very happy that so any lives were saved and to be fair, the farmer could have accepted the offer by Cherry Valley and had all the ducks taken away to slaughter but in their favor they did infact concern themselves with the welfare of the ducks and choose to offer them to people NOT wanting to kill or exploit the birds but infact to offer them homes where they would live the rest of their lives without fear of electrocution or there necks being broken.
So many came from over the UK to help, rescues, sanctuaries, charities and individuals. A huge effort to help the ducks and give them a safe future.
There have been many casualties here, the ducks that were killed by the drakes and the farmer who now has huge feed debts to cover.....At least the farm despite the worries of debt that it would appear a large corporation put on their shoulders, at least they can be proud to know that because of thier choice to find the ducks hoes rather than let them go for slaughter they did in fact act with respect to these birds.
...........................................................................................
Leaflet the farm was giving and sending to people who they wanted to REHOME NOT to KILL their ducks.

Serbia, the Reality - Tiny puppies dumped alive in a plastic bag by the side of a stream - Rescued but still very much fighting for their lives
Yesterday afternoon a rescuer from Serbia posted a video of 3 little pups barely able to walk, covered in flies laying eggs on them, dehydrated, starving and as close to death as any tiny pup could be. 3 had managed to crawl out of the bag they were dumped in, two sadly were dead inside the bag.
As you will see in this video one had fallen into the stream that was close by and unable to walk properly, too young and just too weak would have surely died.
The women who took this video had no resources, their husbands would not allow the to take these babies to safety, they were limited as many rescuers in Serbia are to help these little ones...and so they were left there and the video posted in hopes of finding help....
Well they got the help, as soon as we saw this video we started contacting every animal rescuer who is part of the AAFA network in Serbia and even Bosnia to find someone who could help. Who could go and rescue these puppies and get them to safety.
We would not have been able to rest knowing these babies were out there alone, fighting for their lives without trying to help.
Within an hour of this video being seen by us, our wonderful network of rescuers in Serbia had found the ladies who took the video, the village , the exact spot where these babies were.
The same ladies who took the video who broke their hearts having to leave those pups there just hours after were returning to take them in overnight thanks to a charity thousands of miles away in the United Kingdom Action Aid for Animals.
Knowing in the morning a driver organised by a wonderful rescuer Dusica would be collecting them , the going to the vet then onto her home whilst we search for a foster carer who would be willing and able to care for these little dogs.
Yesterday after they went and collected the 3 pups you see in the film, they fed them, bathed them and kept them warm. Was all they could do until the driver arrived in the morning. They were covered in maggots and fly eggs, they were starving and so very weak. Missing their mum, scared and not knowing what was happening to them.
These 3 little pups are some of the lucky ones, they became part of the AAFA family, we will pay for their care and anything they need, will send aid and food etc. However there are thousands just like these little ones who every day find themselves in the same situation, but those ones are not seen, are not filmed and do not come into the line of sight of Action Aid for Animals or the Serbian Rescuers and they do perish.....
This is the reality of Serbia and change is needed, sterilisation programes, better animal welfare, prosecutions of animal abusers and backyard breeders.... Until the Serbian government acknowledges and admits to what is needed and allows the help to enter Serbia...Nothing will change.
In the meantime charities like Action Aid for Animals and Balkan Underdogs will interlink and network with the Serbian rescuers doing what we can, if only a few lives are saved at least it is something.
But we cant do this without your help.....
For these pups we have to find the funds to pay for their vet care, supplement milk and foster care. Please consider donating to enable us to be there for these and other animals not just in Serbia but across the Balkans and Europe
You can donate via paypal

RSPCA FAIL ANIMALS IN HOUSE OF DEATH IN MELTON DESPITE NUMEROUS CALLS OVER A 4 MONTH SPAN - Warning Graphic images!!!
Despite locals of saint peters walk, Melton Mowbray calling the RSPCA numerous times between November to present date about their concerns over the welfare of many animals owned by a woman in their street, the RSPCA time and again failed every single animal in the woman's house, every single time they walked away.
The end result as you will see from the photos below is utterly sickening. Dogs, cats, puppies, reptiles..All dead. from starvation and goodness knows what. The one thing that is clear is it is not just the woman in this house that caused the death of these poor animals, but also the lack of action by the RSPCA. Only AFTER the fact of these poor animals suffering the most slow and agonising deaths, surrounded by utter squalor are the RSPCA actually taking action against the woman!!
We would suggest that what is clear, it is not just the woman who caused the needless death of these animals to be investigated but also the RSPCA by its choice to NOT act on various occasions over the last few months also aided the cruel and agonising death of all the animals in that house!
We can blame the woman most certainly in these animals deaths, but what part of this sad story did the RSPCA have to play in this?
No doubt when/if this case is seen before the court the woman will be or at the least should be charged with neglect, causing unnecessary suffering and of course cruelty to animals. What is farcical in this, is that the RSPCA will be bringing these charges against the woman, when they themselves surely by NOT taking action the first, second, third , fourth and fifth time they visited the property (most recently just a few weeks ago) failed to take these animals away from her.
The condition of the animals, the squalor around the home is not recent, this has happened over a period of time, most certainly the RSPCA would have noticed the condition of the animals, the squalor within the many visits to the property over the last few months....Yet NO action was taken, not until it was too late!!!
It could be suggested that this is becoming a reoccurring theme for the RSPCA. Waiting until the point they can prosecute rather than concerning themselves with the welfare of the animals rather than leaving it to the point they can prosecute.
The RSPCA in our view should be investigated for their actions or rather lack of actions in all this.
The animals in this house suffered horrific, slow and painful deaths, it is not right that the leading animal welfare charity will not be held to task for their part they played in all this.
We Action Aid for Animals and those that have signed our petition strongly urge Leicestershire Police and the Charity Commission to investigate the RSPCA's involvement in this matter and their neglectful actions that failed to save these innocent animals despite many opportunities to do this.
NO ONE should beyond the law, yet it would seem the RSPCA are/have become and untouchable force, to not only work within the law but also are above it!!! They allowed far too may powers and relied upon far too much by the police to enforce UK Animal Cruelty laws.

Abandoned by a busy highway how this little dogs luck changed and now safe in the UK
This is the most lovely Lolita. after being found on a dark, freezing and wet night in the Balkans by a busy highway where she and her young pup had been cruelly abandoned. She had fought so hard to keep her and her pup alive, but there was no way they would survive the on surge of busy traffic night after night. At some point both would be killed.
This is the fate of any animals in the Balkans, because such countries animals are believed to have no souls and so humans can do what they want without retribution from their God but also by the earthly authorities. It is a cruel reality that charities like Action Aid for Animals and Balkan non profit groups are trying to change.
Sadly Lolitas pup did not make it to his new life, dying of Parvo shortly after being rescued. But his brave little mum did make it, infact all the way to the UK where she is now safe in foster and looking for her forever home.

An incredible 223 donators generously donated towards our appeal and many more shared the link to help. Thanks to your efforts £3,619 was raised!!
Because of your generosity and kindness everything is being made ready and organised for the team to go over to Croatia the 2nd week of August to:
- Work alongside the staff and volunteers in the death row shelter to try and help/save as many as possible.
- To collect owned pets (whose owners are poverty stricken and can not get to the clinic) to fund there sterilisation and take them back to there homes
- To help fix and buy material for a small shelter to enable it to take in rescued animals, young and vulnerable from death row to save even more lives.
- To distribute aid and buy food for the starving strays
We will be keeping everyone up to date whilst we are over there with daily blogs, posts , videos and photos so you can see for yourself exactly what enable AAFA to do.
............................................................................................
This was the appeal: (link to appeal http://www.youcaring.com/action-aid-for-animals-383711)
This week disaster has struck, Francis went into the garage to be checked over as we were hearing a whining noise coming from under the vehicle and it has been found that it would cost us more money to fix her than it did to buy her. Without our ambulance our charity is pretty much dead in the water, we can not even describe what affects this will have on the hundreds of animals right now depending on.
With only a month to go until the team are due over in Croatia to help with rescuing, initiating our sterilisation projects and of course bringing lucky dogs from death row home to their new families we are totally and utterly stuck without a vehicle to do this with.
We choose ambulances rather than vans because they automatically have air con/heaters are bright and airy plus as ex authority vehicles they have been kept up to spec.
This fundraiser is to buy another ambulance, customise it to the needs of the animals we will be saving and transporting plus pay for the official inspection certificate that will allow us to transport rescue dogs to safety.
Please help us, every single thing we do, be it rescuing, transporting, raising funds relies upon us being on the road. This situation could not be more urgent and could not have happened at the worse time for us.
Thank you so much for your support, we really can not do this without you.

AAFA - THE MISSION TO SAVE 8 SMALL DOGS FROM AN HORRIFIC FATE
Only 72 hours ago 8 small lives who were in jeopardy not just because they were on death row, but because there are a few rogue dogs in that shelter that are targeting and killing the smaller and vulnerable dogs there.
During the day the staff and volunteers can keep an eye on everything, but at night when no one is there.... For the last few weeks they have been coming in to find dead bloodied bodies. Always the same types of dogs, smaller, weaker and unable to defend themselves. They had been targeted by these rogue dogs.
In a shelter that the capacity is to hold 70 dogs but currently is forced to try and care for 100, all it takes is one dog to attack another and the rest pile in, this is pack mentality at its worst!
AAFA were desperate, every week we sat dreading the updates of which dog had been found ripped apart in a corner of the kennels, the dogs who were next in line could be guessed because of similar characters and size to the ones already killed. We new the next targets would be all or from this group of 8 dogs, they were Tina, Tony, Leo, Della, Heda, Stella, Astor and Lotta.
The ambulance we knew would not be back o the road in time for this week, to get over there but we knew we must do something, but what?
We had an idea, last month we held a ticket to freedom event to find homes for 15 dogs from death row and funds to get them out and to the safety to begin new lives. Again our wonderful supporters stepped up and raised the funds needed for this but for some dogs, we still needed to find fosters.
This meant that the ticket to freedom dogs actually traveled in two groups. The first immediately after the appeal was held and fosters/adopters found and the second group this week by a private transporter along with some other very lucky rescued dogs from other places and countries who had found homes. Because we were not yet back on the road we had already booked a private transporter to psychically do what at this current time we were unable to do, to get there ourselves as we normally would have done.
There was only one major problem, The transport was due to collect the dogs from death row ( Ticket to freedom event) in just 48 hours. In just 24 hours we had to have all the dogs on traces ready for the next day, leaving us just 24 hours to not just find funds to pay the transporter but also the foster homes for them to goto. The majority of our fosters are full so we had to hope someone had space and to recruit new fosters that had already been home checked.
In all honesty with the ambulance appeal only being a week previously and knowing pre-home checked fosters were hard to find, especially at such short notice we thought realistically we maybe could save 2 - 3 of these 8, but did not quite believe it was possible to help all of them, we of course hoped we could, we just did not think this time it would be possible. The thought of having to leave 5 - 6 dogs to face absolute horror and an awful painful death was too much to bare, but we had no choice. We could only do what we could do. So we begun to appeal and kept our fingers crossed.
We already knew how wonderful our supporters were, but we really had no idea how quickly they would all come together and step up to help and offer what they could, be it the odd £1 donation to funding a full transport space at £150 each dog. As always the biggest hurdle apart form raising funds is finding that ever important foster placement, 2 wonderful foster carers and 2 previous adopters of AAFA offered space and then Lizzie's Barn Sanctuary offered foster space for the rest.
To say we were happy and also shocked was an understatement! But our amazing supporters came through and yesterday morning these extremely lucky 8 little dogs along with the others saved from our ticket to freedom event boarded the Happy bus and together they begun their journeys to a new life, a safe live, a wonderful life.
UPDATE:
The lucky dogs and also two kittens whose lives have been saved by you guys, supporters , adopters and fosters have arrived safely in the UK. Currently they are all in kennels (two kittens in Cattery) doing there 48 wait for there DEFRA check. This Saturday each and every one of them will be collected from kennels or transported to meet there new adopters and fosters never to be tortured, starved, attacked, abused or abandoned ever again.
Without the support and kindness of others, AAFA would not have been able to be there when these amazing animals needed us.
As always, thank you from all the AAFA team and from the animals whose lives you have saved.
TOGETHER WE REALLY CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

AAFA - KEEPING OUR PROMISE TO LITTLE YOGI - TO GET HIM SAFELY TO HIS NEW LIFE
AAFA - How our supporters and Donators are one of the all important links in a chain.
Many do not realise all the other things we do to help not just our own dogs but others too.
So, this is to thank AAFA team who work hard behind the scenes, our donators and supporters, you may not realise it but you do more than you know.
A few months ago this poor little guy (Now named Yogi) as you can see what horrifically tortured by the "dog catchers" in Romania.
A wonderful group of people stepped forward and a lovely Romanian rescuer together they got this little guy away from the clutches of the dog catchers and funded his care, vet fee etc. A kind hearted lady called Mary stepped forward and will be adopting this little guy.
The group were working hard to find the costs of foster, vet fees etc so we stepped in to help lighten the load and said we would cover his transport to the UK.
As you know our ambulance has been off the road but we had to keep our promise to Yogi, so we funded his transport to the UK , to his Happy Ever After.
Yogi right now is in is new home after spending his 48 hours in kennels for his DEFRA check. Never will this little guy ever be at the mercy again of any vile dog catcher to torture and abuse him in such a horrific way.
A huge thank you to AAFA donators and supporters, without you Yogi would not be safe and loved, enjoying his wonderful new life. xx

HOW AAFA SAVES LIVES IN BIG WAYS AS WELL AS SMALL...
Right now in Croatia the temperatures are sweltering, the death row dogs have a hard enough time as it is without having to worry about dehydration. Death row is a city hall run shelter but we are incredibly lucky that the staff and volunteers who work and visit the dogs there will do what they can to keep those dogs alive, vaccinate sterilise, vet care, chip the dogs etc in hopes of finding them homes. But they have to work with what they have this includes the bowls that city hall provide. How is this a problem? Well it is when the bowls are wider on the top than the bottom , not too bad for food as dogs will eat from the floor but in this heat, when water bowls are overturned this is a problem, in fact is life threatening.
Now the staff and volunteers will refill those bowls all day long (this is not like the majority of shelters there and in other regions of Europe that would leave the dogs to die and throw away the carcasses) . But the problem is there are 100 dogs in the shelter that has capacity for 70. At any one time, maybe 3 staff members on 1 of which is a vet treating the dogs and operating etc. 1 or 2 volunteers come in regularly when they are able but you can imagine the impossible task this is on the staff and also volunteers who go there to help.
I know you guys are use to us rushing in negotiating the release of large numbers of dogs from places where city hall are refusing to release dogs or let rescuers in, , sterilising and vaccinating entire shelters in one hit or our ticket to freedom projects where we raise funds, find homes for 15 - 20 dogs at a time but we also work in smaller ways too, to help make the lives better for animals.
In this case 10 large water bowls that are larger at the bottom than the top , meaning the water stays IN the bowls, also meaning less fights breaking out over precious spills of water...and less dogs suffering or dying from dehydration.

So this post is to thank AAFA supporters and donators for being there for the animals in not just Massive ways such as the recent Ambulance appeal ( will be ready shortly to get back on the road by the way grin emoticon ) or most recent saving the lives of 8 wee dogs just a few days ago who would have been targeted and killed by rogue dogs ( they are safe in the UK now doing their required kennel time, leaving for fosters and there new lives this Saturday after there DEFRA check) , but also for enabling us to send the money over for something as simple as 10 large bowls grin emoticon
You guys are amazing, we just don't think you realise how amazing you are xxx So from AAFA and the animals we help...THANK YOU
A special thank you to Keti Kamenar and Sandra Gajnok for searching for the best deals and driving round and buying the bowls on our behalf xx

AAFA BUYS STERILISATION UNIT FOR RESCUED ANIMALS IN BELIMANISTER
A huge thank you to AAFA supporters/donators who enable us to be there in so many ways to help Animals in need.
In this case was a fair few weeks ago to buy a desperately needed Autoclave (large sterilisation Unit) for the vet clinic that treats.operates on and sterilises the death row dogs and rescued animals the local NGOs bring to them to be seen.
Without your support and donations we simply could not do all that is asked of us for the animals that need us to the most.
From the AAFA team, Belimanister shelter vets and of course the hundreds and hundreds of rescued animals that will benefit from this machine...
THANK YOU xx

AAFA Back on the road and doing what we do best - SAVING LIVES
AAFA is back on the road and doing what it does best, Saving the lives of animals in need. Thanks to our incredible supporters and donators our tyres are a rolling and right now are on route to Croatia.
The ambulance is jam packed with everything from bedding to deflea and deworming, food both wet and dry to bowls, cleaning stuff collars and just lots and lots of stuff donated by AAFA donators to help the dogs. As well as the food on board and that Claire Hurley who is on this trip will also be loading on from what she has collected her end, Bryan and Claire will also be popping out when they are over to buy a further £130 that Claire has collected for food and a further £100 from AAFA.
Anne and Myself have rented a house that is about 10 mins from Belimanister and the dislocated shelter with plenty of storage space in the outside buildings for the volunteers to come and take what the dogs need and everything the team need in the house to rest after what will be a very tiring Journey.
This is a very important transport in so many ways, not only is life saving aid being taken across, food being bought, medicine is being collected and taken over for the pups in Belimanister who are very ill, but also Bryan and Claire will be visiting Death row and the dislocated shelter to start getting plans drawn up and quotes in so we can start the rebuild and fixing up asap. - So a huge thank you to everyone who helped us get back on the road, who have donated, shared, cross posted. In the return journey 22 dogs and two cats lives will also be changing as we take them from death row and other shelters and bring the to their Happy Ever Afters.. Thank you everyone
We will keep you updated via this page of the teams visit and uploading photos etc

Over 100 shelter Puppies and dogs now protected against flea, tick and worm infestation.
Thanks to AAFA supporters and donators on 22nd August Belimanister Shelter in Croatia over 100 rescued dogs were all deflead and dewormed. To many in the UK fleas, ticks and worms are easily treated and simply an irritant, however in Croatia the rescue dogs and impoverished shelters can not afford to buy such life saving treatments. Puppies, older dogs die horrifically from the disease that fleas, ticks and internal worms transmit to them. These treatments really do save lives.
Thank you for supporting the work we do, we are only able to save so many lives through your support and donations to our charity.
It was absolute mayhem with volunteers and their children, staff members all working together to wait in line with every single pup and dog to be administered treatment by Dr M and his team. Amazing work by such dedicated and wonderful people.

AAFA Volunteers and supporters travel to Croatia to meet the amazing rescuers and vets we collaborate with out there and to meet the wonderful animals we are desperately trying to help.
On the 19th August wonderful volunteers and supporters of AAFA traveled to Croatia to ,meet with some of the amazing rescuers and veterinarians that we work so closely with. Whilst they were there they visited the dislocated a shelter , though badly run down and a far cry from what we are use to in the UK this place is a sanctuary for so many abused and abandoned strays.
Here they receive basic care, love and a meal in there bellies. AAFA are finalising plans to help rebuild this shelter and organise/fund for kennels to be built to keep the rescued animals within safe from those outside who would do them harm
Also during their visit Claire and Bryan also visited the death row shelter and though was an emotional roller coaster for them both it allowed them to experience and to see why our charity worls so very hard to help save these lovely dogs in any way that we can.
At both shelters we send over aid, medical treatment , dog beds and anything else we are able to collect or to buy for them.
We can not thank these two wonderful volunteers for driving all the way there with an entire ambulance full of life saving aid and treatments but for also helping 22 rescued animals escape death row etc and come to there new homes and foster homes in the UK.

How much aid can we fit into an ambulance? As much that is humanly possible thats how much!
How much aid can you get into AAFA Animal Ambulance?
As much that is humanly possible , that's how much!
When Claire and Bryan visited Croatia last week they took with them our ambulance stuffed to the rafters with food, medical aid, dog beds, bedding , doggy paddling pools, toys, leads infact you name it and it was in there.
On route AAFA had ordered over £200 of this life saving treatment against distemper, something that is extremely hard to get hold of in ,amy counries in Europe, but thanks to our networks across various regions we were able to locate a constant supply and the lovely Claire and Bryan swung by Hungary on route to Croatia to pick some up for the pups and dogs recently rescued that urgently needed it.
As well as other AAFA donators who had donated aid towards this trip Claire Hurley did a grand job herself collecting an amazing amount of aid to take over with her. Again we can not thank Claire enough for her support.

AAFA Launches its first educational colouring book to teach children to be kind to animals
When Sarah White of Liberation Colouring agreed to put our ideas into pictures we had no idea how incredible this collaboration would be.
This is a free educational tool that any child of any country can easily understand. With suggested questions for educators and parents to ask the children whilst they are colouring this is a wonderful way for children to have fun and to understand how there actions can affect an animals and how being kind to animals makes everyone feel much happier.
Many children lack empathy towards others until they are much older, but with this free learning tool we hope will enable children much younger to realise the affects they have on others and to animals.
This colouring book is totally free and can be downloaded from our website www.actionaidforanimals.com in varying formats and layouts

30th Sept latest rescue at Belimanister, Croatia The cruelty and abuse never ends
Miro our wonderful Croatian Vet treating the most recent rescued victim of abuse.
This is the most recent dog rescued today (30th Sept) from the streets of Beli Manister that will be under our charities wing. Found wandering aimlessly the streets, scared, alone and with horrific wounds all around his neck
It is blatantly clear this poor little boy is one of thousands across Croatia who are put on chains when they are pups and as they grow the chains literally cut into the dogs throat. This little dog may not realise it now, but not only did he escape his chains, but he will now receive the best care and will have a happy future thank you the wonderful staff and volunteers at Belimanister shelter but also be under AAFA wing.
As yet he does not have a name, AAFA supporters are still choosing one for him, but when he is fully healed and any surgery done to mend the damage the chains that were around his neck have caused he will be listed and looking for a loving and caring forever home.
The practice of putting dogs on chains MUST STOP and we will be doing all we can to educate people to the dangers and cruelty of this barbaric and inhumane to keep animals.
........................................................................UPDATE..........................................................
Ali ( as he is now called) has been all sorted and is now well on his way to recovery. Once he has rested and is given the all clear by Dr Miro the vet he will be looking for his forever home.
His wounds around his neck treated, cleaned and sewn up.
His Dew claws removed with lazer surgery and very important......
Castration.
The little fella is doing very well thanks to the care and amazing surgical skills of Dr Miro and his staff at Beli Manister
